Some Quiet Time

It is a rare occurrence for this house to be quiet , and by quiet I mean me be alone, I am almost never alone. So I am enjoying the peace , no one has once asked me for  a snack. Todd has taken the girls to see High School Musical on ice , the Christmas gift they received from one of my sister in laws.<br />I took the day to spend with my Mom to help her find a dress for her wedding, now that could have taken all day right , many days perhaps but it was so fast when its right its right it took a very short time. It was probably the nicest thing we have done , we found THE dress and she is beautiful I am so happy for her , she will finally be the BRIDE that everyone should be , gorgeous , I am very excited for her , I am so glad that we were able to do that together .<br /><br />This allowed me a day to myself, to finish the beam , that is all I have in me today as far as messy projects go . The theme these days is white.

This is what I have been looking at for far too long , piles of snow , the snow banks are so high , we are at capacity here , I mean come on . But it does fit with the theme. White. This is very unusual for these parts to see this much snow, usually it comes and goes , this year it has stayed and piled. A beam goes up and a chair is completed

It is March Break here , I have taken the week off to spend time with just my girls, we went to the eye doctor today , we are very proactive about eye checks as things can get missed, I find most parents don't take their kids to the eye doctor until past 2<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">nd</span> grade or until something is obviously wrong, I suggest having all children checked starting at age 3 , it s a simple picture test at that age. We just learned Sophie has an astigmatism , not too bad , but if left alone it can cause sight loss, so it is good to be aware , she doesn't need treatment at this time as it is very minor , but her sister who wears glasses has been saying she can't see very well , she was so right she needs new glasses only after a year , doubled her <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">prescription</span> although it is still quite mild. I found this washed out stripe , black and white, it was an end so it was super cheap and I found an extra thick gimp which is so bold, I love it , it had a bit of a Swedish or Norwegian feel to me. All was moving along well until my staple gun died, it is an Arrow , I have had very bad luck with my tools quiting on me in the middle of a project, luckily I do have the good old manual staple gun as well, it uses a great deal more effort but it got the job done.
