MAGGI as we all know is a perfect quick-snack between meals and is liked by all, from children to adult. Never thought it can be such a life saver.
After morning breakfast at our Hotel in Nubra Valley during our visit to Ladakh, we set out for Leh which is around 150 kms from Leh City at around 7.30 AM. In the journey, we had to cross the highest motorable pass - Khardung La. After the long journey through the rugged mountain road, we were dead hungry when we reached Khardung la or K-Top as it is called. Needless to mention, Khardung La is at an altitude of 18300 ft. Even in the end of July it was at a temperature of 2-3 degrees or even less when we reached there at about 12 noon. At this altitude getting any cafeteria along the road to provide for hunger is out of question.
Rhinchen Cafeteria came to our rescue with nothing else but MAGGI and Black Tea. Strangely enough at the entrance of the cafeteria, we could see the History of Maggi and the benefits of drinking Black Tea. All of us knew how maggi could suffice a hungry person with some instant relief, but in this situation learning more about the History of Maggi, made us feel like thanking Micheal Johannes again and again.
We ordered 4 bowls of hot maggi and a cup of black tea for our lunch and gulped them down our throat without bothering about the taste or anything else going around us.
"SO ENJOY MAGGI" - a real SOS for hungry soul....
