Walt Disney World Resort, also known as Walt Disney World or Disney World, located in Florida, USA. Walt Disney World Resort is owned and operated by a segment of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts of The Walt Disney Company.


History

Success at Disneyland on July 17, 1955, Walt Disney Productions plans to build a second resort. Then on 22 November 1963 initiated the plan to establish in Sanford, Florida. But was postponed until 1971.

Reedy Creek Drainage District was established on May 13, 1966 under lorida State Statutes Chapter 298, which gives powers including the pre-eminent domain for the drainage district. To create a district only support from the soil as needed. [1]

Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966 before the vision was realized. His brother and business partner, Roy O. Disney, delaying the supervision of the first phase of resort development. Companies that worked with Disney's Robert Hart, the New York architect and founder of Hart Howerton, an architecture firm specializing in large scale land, to develop a master plan for the park early.
