Yosemite Falls is the highest measured waterfall in North America. Located in Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada of California, it is the main attraction at the park, especially in late spring when water flow is at its peak. Number of 2425 feet (739 m) from the top of the upper falls to the bottom of the waterfall lower Yosemite Falls waterfall qualify as the sixth highest in the world, although with the recent discovery of Cataract Gocta, appears on some lists as the seventh.

In a bit of snow, falling can actually stop flowing altogether in late summer or autumn. A very small amount of rock climbers have taken the opportunity to climb the rock surface can usually be accessed under the falls, although this is a very dangerous job; single afternoon thunderstorm could restart the falls, sweeping the climbers from the face.
